Team Fortress 2 - My Review

INTRODUCTION - FEATURES - OVERALL - DOWNLOADS

Introduction:

Team Fortress 2 (TF2) is the second installment of Valve’s Team Fortress. The game delivers new gametypes, persistent player statistics , interesting Source Engine graphics and more. Unlike other games of its type, Team Fortress 2 has 9 character classes that are completely different from each other. These 9 classes are the Pyro, the Engineer, the Spy, the Heavy, the Sniper, the Scout, the Solider, the Demoman and the Medic.

Features:

1. Classes - There is amazing variety when it comes to the classes. You could go fast, be strong, fly with rockets, backstab people, hide and snipe people, set explosive traps, heal allies and more. Each class makes the game feel completely different and most TF2 pros use many classes and don’t just stick to their “Main” all the time. 8/10

2. Weapons - Ususally with games which have microtransations, I like the purchases to only be cosmetic. In TF2, however, you can purchase different guns with different buffs and functionalities. On the other hand, those weapons are mostly balanced and usually don’t make someone who pays better than someone who doesn’t.  7/10

3. Cosmetics - Your inventory is limited in this game. That seems fine, but you have to decide: Guns for each class or cosmetics? If you want cosmetics, for most of them you need to buy crates and keys. Purchasing something expands your inventory greatly, so that’s not much of an issue. 7/10

4. Engine - It’s the Source engine. It’ll be buggy and it sometimes is. 6/10

5. Matchmaking - Matchmaking’s fine but whatever you do, don’t enter competitive, you’ll not get anything 7/10

Overall:

This is a great game by Valve. It has many unique ideas and uses them all extraordinarily well. 7/10
